SF Local Tickets

Hi, I’m Joel, an organizer of a lot of small events around San Francisco such as line dancing, dating events, and events for our local magazine.

Selling tickets for these events, especially when they are meant to be low-cost community events, has always been quite frustrating. Heylo takes about 11%, Eventbrite takes 6.6% plus $1.79, Partiful’s new ticketing feature takes 22%. This is money that could be going to our local businesses and non-profits.

So I made this instead. It does all the things that basic ticketing requires, with minimal processing fees. Credit card processing is a minimum of 2.9% plus 30 cents, but I hope to encourage people to use alternative forms of payment that get as close to fee-free as possible.
